Paid email traffic can be used to send visitors directly to an affiliate destination or to a page you control first. An owned page gives you more room to explain context, capture a permitted email lead and measure an intermediate conversion. Direct linking removes a step, but gives you less control over the experience and may be restricted by the affiliate program.
Always check the current merchant or network rules before launching paid traffic. Some offers restrict traffic sources, bidding practices, claims, email promotion or the use of particular brand terms. A traffic method being technically possible does not mean a specific affiliate program permits it.
Separate traffic performance from offer performance
A campaign can deliver relevant visitors while the offer still converts poorly. Conversely, a strong offer can underperform when the audience is mismatched. Track enough of the path to distinguish these possibilities: source, landing-page action, email engagement where applicable, affiliate click-through and attributed conversion where the merchant provides reliable reporting.
Avoid the earnings-claim trap
Solo-ad marketplaces often serve business-opportunity and affiliate-marketing audiences, which makes claim discipline especially important. Seller statistics, testimonials and past buyer reports do not establish what a new buyer will earn. Describe the mechanism, costs and observable results instead of promising income.
For list-building campaigns, judge subscribers by what they do after joining. A low cost per lead can look attractive while producing an audience that rarely opens, clicks or buys. The useful metric is not simply how many email addresses were collected, but whether the acquisition cost is justified by downstream behavior.
